I have a BFA degree in ceramics from Alfred University (NYSCC) and a MFA in sculpture from UNC-Chapel Hill.

I’ve been teaching a lot this fall so it was delightful to be on the other side and take a class at our library and to be around other people doing something that I love. What a joy to make something crafty! I haven’t made anything crafty in over a year. Last September I stepped away from my job as a craft stylist to be more present as a caregiver for my mom who has Alzheimer’s. In July this year she broke her hip and moved into a care facility. I really like making work for holiday shows; most of it is small, intimate, and very affordable. I’m delighted to be included in several shows this holiday season. The first is in Glen Arbor, Michigan, (my heart home) in the @glenarborart gallery. It’s a small series of studies for larger pieces that I made while I was an artist in residency there in September.
